We Came Together with the Global Geosynthetics Industry at 13ICG

Last week, we came together with professionals, academics and industry representatives from around the world at the 13th International Conference on Geosynthetics (13ICG), one of the geosynthetics industry’s largest international gatherings.

Organized by the International Geosynthetics Society every three years on a different continent, the conference was held in Montréal, Canada, from September 13 to 17, following its previous gathering in Rome in 2023. After supporting the Rome conference as a Silver Sponsor, we continued our support in Montréal as a Gold Sponsor. Throughout the conference, we followed the latest developments in geosynthetics and shared our products, engineering solutions, project experience and technical expertise with international participants.

Valuable Meetings at Booth 500

Throughout the conference, we welcomed visitors from around the world at Booth 500. We discussed current and upcoming projects and exchanged insights into the needs of different markets, application methods and the future of the geosynthetics industry.

At our booth, we presented our geosynthetic products, engineering solutions and experience across various fields of application.

Introducing our new product, ForStrap Polymeric Strip Reinforcement, to international industry professionals for the first time was another highlight that made 13ICG especially meaningful for us.

An Important Case Study from the 2023 Türkiye Earthquakes

As part of the conference program, our General Manager, Tonguç Değer, delivered his presentation titled “A Case Study: Behavior of a Geosynthetic Reinforced Wall and Bridge Abutment During the Devastating 2023 Earthquake in Türkiye.”

The presentation examined the performance of geosynthetic reinforced walls constructed in Gaziantep, including a wall serving as a bridge abutment, during the earthquakes of February 6, 2023.

13ICG provided a valuable platform to reconnect with industry professionals from around the world, explore technical developments and establish new connections.
