Eti Bakır Mazıdağı Enterprise Preferred İstanbul Teknik Geotextiles for the Waste Pond. Eti Bakır A.Ş., within the scope of privatization in 2004, Eti Bakır A.Ş. Küre enterprises and Eti Bakır A.Ş. Samsun facilities were followed by Murgul enterprise in 2006 and Halıköy facilities in 2007. Eti Bakır A.Ş. carried out 1,000 m drilling as of the end of 2017 to detect underground resources and made an R&D investment of approximately 50 million dollars, and this figure exceeded 60 million dollars with other technological studies. It ranked 254th in the list of Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry in 2016. Mazıdağı Metal Recycling and Integrated Fertilizer Facilities Mazıdağı Phosphate Facilities started operating in Mardin in 2018 as a fertilizer factory with an investment of 1.1 billion dollars. Eti Bakır A.Ş. Mazıdağı Phosphate Facilities have an annual phosphate rock production capacity of over NP 550,000 tons/year, DAP 200,000 tons/year. 85 percent of the raw material in Mazıdağı Fertilizer Factory is supplied domestically. Mazıdağı Phosphate and Fertilizer Factory will be the only fertilizer factory in the region and will meet all of the fertilizer needs of Harran Plain and GAP. Eti Bakır A.Ş. Mazıdağı Phosphate Facilities are 90 km from Diyarbakır, 65 km from Mardin and 520 km from İskenderun Port. Established in 1974 to meet a portion of our country's phosphate fertilizer needs and reduce its dependence on imports, the facility was transferred to the Privatization Administration with the decision of the Privatization High Council, put out to tender, purchased in July 2011 and incorporated into Cengiz Holding. The solid waste storage area of the business will be made in 3 lots for gypsum formed by the filtration of calcium phosphate in phosphoric acid and will reach a waste capacity of 19,000,000 m³ when completed. The service life of this waste storage area is calculated as approximately 19 years. The geotextiles used in the area to be used for the storage of solid waste in this large business were supplied by Istanbul Teknik.
