GeoArme Wrapmesh Bundled Type Geogrid Reinforced Retaining Wall Project

According to the data of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), Gemlik is one of the districts where landslides are most common in Bursa province. In order to reduce the risk of landslides that threaten the people living in the district and their living spaces, a project was initiated by the General Directorate of Highways in the region between Gemlik and Armutlu, and within the scope of this project, GeoArme Wrapmesh Bundled type Geogrid reinforced retaining wall was successfully implemented.

Challenges Encountered:

The existing walls in the area where the application will be made, the fact that the wall is extremely close to the settlements and is located on a high slope, have caused engineering studies and manufacturing to require special attention and expertise.

SOLUTION

The preferred wall type in this project is the Geogrid reinforced bundled GeoArme wall type. GeoArme is a fast and practical wall type that can be applied in many different geometric shapes, adapts to difficult topographic and geological conditions, does not require complex machinery and equipment, and is both a safe and environmentally friendly engineering solution as it is also suitable for greening.
